What led to the creation of the NC State University Foundation Sustainable Responsible Impact (SRI) Fund?

In September 2013, Chancellor Woodson announced the largest single gift in NC State University’s history at that time – the Park Foundation’s $50 million endowment to support the Park Scholarships program.

The Park Foundation directed that the new endowment be invested in a socially responsible manner. That directive led to the formation of the Sustainable Responsible Impact (SRI) Fund within the NC State University Foundation, where the endowment is held.

The NC State University Foundation, Inc., is the largest of ten 501(c)3 non-profit, fund-raising organizations, also referred to as associated entities, that support NC State University.
