What is “OASDI/EE” listed on my paycheck?

OASDI/EE is Social Security tax, and it is one of the required federal taxes that is taken out of an employee’s paycheck.

Fed OASDI/EE stands for Old Age Survivors and Disability Insurance Employee share. This is a required deduction for all employees unless they are exempt.

For a list of I.R.S. allowed exemptions, see the related article “Why wasn’t social security taken out of my paycheck?“.
