What are fixed price contracts?

In regards to sponsored research projects, a fixed price contract or a fixed price project, establishes guidelines and/or restrictions for the cost of items and/or services required to support the research project. These fixed price projects can be either firm (non-adjustable) or adjustable under certain circumstance.

If assistance is needed with adjusting sponsored research fixed price projects/contracts, contact your department/college Research Administration Office for guidance. If your Research Administration Office is unable to provide sufficient assistance, they should be able to elevate your request to the appropriate office.
