IDJ and IDS are different types of IDT. Journals (IDJ) are used to record transactions between projects for internal sales and service activities, and activities between different department IDs.
- Interdepartmental Journals are used to record all transfers and journal entries between two separate departments. This includes reimbursements, allocations, corrections, re-classifications, expense sharing, and revenue-sharing events.
- Interdepartmental Sales Journals are used to record the sale or refund of a previous sale of a product or service between university projects
